The Polish expansion continues, spanning over 30 Nations poland declares war on France and her allies spain in year 1754.
Alsace-Lorriene Is quickly taken by the Polish and the force moves further west. However Due to luck an outnumbered, un-generaled French force defeats the polish force forcing it to retreat with extremely heavy casulties.
This required the Polish to bring over their Irish Division to french soil.
The irish division took a pounding once on french soil but held firm. However as they neared Paris the French military sallied forth and attacked them. The polish hoped to retreat to replenish their numbers first but the French kept up with them and even backed the polish into an ambush with more french troops.
If the French could Be beaten here by sheer tactical genius the polish would have an easy ride to paris the next Sunrise. If they failed Polish forces may never have the chance to seize France again.
The polish at least had time to arrange their forces and the Second french army were a small distance out. Arranging cannons protected by infantry and cavalry on the flanks was the standard polish tactic in tight situations.
As the battle begun the polish moved their forces north to face the french army bearing down on them. A little too close however and some losses were taken and the polish artillery wasn't even setup yet. But the heaven's smiled as the cannons were loaded and the first shot fired was a cannon ball that flew straight into the French general, killing him instantly.
Disheartened his men fought on, but to little avail. Cannons switched to Cannister shot and tear the French to shreads as line infantry peppered them with bayonet fire.
Sadly during this confusion and elation at the easy victory the French heavy cavalry from the second army had begun to flank the polish. This threat was noticed however and the quick thinking hussars rushed into combat to stall them.
This gave the now free polish forces to encircle them and charge the Grenadines!. The general even charged into lend a hand as two units of Grenadiers charged with their bayonets, cutting the horses down quickly.
This distraction gave the french an oppertunity to charge through polish lines. Grenadiers however were able to hold the line long enough for surrounding units to rally and charge in for support.
Followed by a french retreat.
Left alone was the cannons on the far side of the map, but now useless without cover the cavalry charged and killed the crew manning them.
The Polish were victorious that day.
Due to the crippling losses to the french force Paris was taken later the next day. Due to their defeat French lost control over it's american holdings as rebels rose up and liberated themselfves form the Old French Empire forming smaller weaker states easier for polish conquest at a later time.
But for now the expansionist eyes of Poland are looking to Spain and Italy.
