I reckon that if you leave it a month, the prices will start to shift downwards again, gradually. That'll be a 1400 power rating increase for you :P

Oh, I thought you meant above the processor I was planning on getting! Silly me! Yeah, I have a 3000+, and I want a 4400+, which is, as you say, an increase of 1400, but the X2 means a lot more (in fact, the 4400 is only 2 3500+ with doubled cache).

5000+ to be unveiled on July 6th of this year, alongside the Athlon FX-62, which will be like having 2 FX-57's on one chip! Think of the performance. Think of the heat! Think of your electricity bill! The next one will probably be 65nm, rather than 90.

I'm guessing they will also release a 5200+ at the same time - it is suggested by the current pattern of updates. As for the 62 :shock:.
