I'm pretty sure that it will weigh more. Apparently the case is 55 pounds which is about 25kg. I didn't think it was that heavy to be honest. Coupled with these next 2 deliveries weighing in over 20kg...

Nah I am sure it won't implode of anything.. It will just give of some neuclear reactions causing mass implosion which will destroy the planet entirely.

Nah, GHz won't help you there, you need the processor to start fusing together to form heavier elements.

So the new PC is built...

Quad core is running at 3.4GHz. CrossfireX seems to be good but haven't tested it yet. Wireless is all good. Temperatures are OK. Graphics chips are at 85ish, CPU is about 20C idle but can go up to 55C when under 100% load. X48 chip runs at about 56C constantly, I'm thinking of putting the centrifugal fan on this. All fans are running at 100% speed. It's all good...

Just downloading all my Steam games and will test them in the morning!

This morning the CPU runs at 55C when idle, and this is when it is also running at the stock 2.83GHz, so something has happened overnight that I need to rectify. Running at this speed also means I am losing money as my memory underclocks to 1333MHz.

During the installation of the Zalman CNPS9700 cooler, it slipped slightly when installing the bracket as it pinged out where a screw wasn't inserted in to the socket bracket far enough. I suspect that the thermal paste has smeared across the chip to a point where the heat cannot be conducted out through the fansink. I will reapply the cooler and the thermal paste tonight. I'll be sure to let you know what I have found out!

I'm definitely going to put the centrifugal fan on the X48 chip instead of just the passively cooled chip. I just don't really like anything running as hot as 57C without a fan on it.

I also need to apologise right now... I wasn't able to take any photo's of the build (well, I took about 3) since I had very limited space in my room and required two hands for many things. There was no room for anybody else in my room at the time to take a photo. However, there will be lots of photos and screenshots of the finished product.

By the way, I played Half Life 2 Lost Cost this morning, at 8xAA and 16xAF at 2560x1600 with all settings at their highest. It was like looking through a window in to another world.
