I'd like a nice little opinion on this program, its by Stardock, the same company that makes WindowBlinds (which is a pile of crap). Anyway, TweakVista allows you to change a lot of settings, like turn off alot of Vista Services (yay!)

Anything to make Vista faster is welcomed. But does TweakVista run as a service itself? And if so, what are the memory and processor overheads?

It doesn't, it plays with the registry, it doesn't run in the background itself.

StarDock tend to release software in a crippled state, otherwise known as shareware. Is this shareware or freeware? Does it contain spyware?

I have no idea, haven't touched it myself. I do things manually!
