They wouldn't, it's not their technology area (Apple and MS have been making OSes for decades, and that is their original purpose. Linux is open source and is therefore treated differently).

You could count the Wii/DS menus as an OS, though.

Wii menu uses linux apprently.

Like the style of boxes to be really smooth and a bit on the big side compared to windows usually clean cut, polished look.

It'd be advertised as easily accessible for all ages, but you'll notice advanced options have child accessiblity and are pointless under most circumstances.

Bringing up a programs menu would show a menu like current Wii's (boxes everywhere)

I believe that one turned out to be a falsity. It uses its own custom OS, "IOS" which sucks for us consumers
