Well that makes sense, "Jarateing?" them then filling them with holes from your SMG would be slightly OP.

These update weapons seem to get more and more gimicky as time goes on

Did the medic or the pyro have a sandwich? a can of drink? or a JAR OF FRIGGIN PISS!?

The huntsman is cool and all, an original idea, but all the other primary unlockables have been modified versions of the original weapon, this will just break the game imo.

And the Razorback is completely useless tbh, the machete can 1 hit a spy anyway...

But on the other hand, all the spy unlocks (so far) seem to be well thought out.

That picture does serve to make it pretty obvious.


And Deadwolf, the updates are intended to provide alternative ways of playing the game. With the other classes, although the weapons might appear to be alternative versions of the originals, what they are capable of is quite different, targeted towards different styles of play.

And I know the weapons are very diffeent to use, but the sniper is too different, he isn't even a sniper anymore, he's an archer

I think the rifle will get used more still I honestly do.

Natascha can only really be used in conjunction with another heavy with Sascha. Or another support class which can deal damage better...

I think the B&A will be epic for lols though xD

I also noticed the sniper achievements reference one of the lines from his meet the video.

Be polite, Be efficient, Have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

@DHR - When Natasha works, it is actually quite effective, though the heavy is meant to work with other people anyway.

Natasha is intermittently broken and fixed. I think it's fixed ATM, but it was broken a lot. The slow effect didn't work properly.

Interesting Achievements;

Saturation Bombing: Jarate 4 enemy players with a single throw. (Jarate is area affect)

Shafted: Stab an enemy with an arrow. (Melee with huntsman?)

Jarring Transition: Use Jarate to reveal a cloaked Spy. (We already knew this one, kinda)

Skullpluggery: Headshot 20 Snipers with the Ambassador. (it headshots!? That sucks)

The Man from P.U.N.C.T.U.R.E.: Stab an enemy while fencing. (Taunt kill)

So, I haven't had a chance to play and might not for a few days,

What is with the new unlock system? Don't the achieves get you the unlocks anymore?

And does the spy have any other weapons (sapper or knife)?

From what I have read on the Steam forums, the first shot from the Ambassador is incredibly accurate and can headshot, but for a while after, subsequent shots are rather innacurate.

Oh yes, and the spy gets a trilby.

I have no idea about unlock systems.

Neither the sniper or the spy have got a melee replacement, and there is no sapper replacement.

The update logs said about the Ambassador being inaccurate after the critical.

Hats aren't released yet.

Indeed, not released, but they are viewable in the model viewer. Shacknews and csnation have pictures of them all.

A few people have also claimed to have seen others with them in-game.

Text is interesting too, says about disguise kit can give a spy crab taunt and arrows can be ignited.

Also, I found that out about the item drops, it's just a random drop. Old weapons are still tied to achievements, but may be dropped aswell (I'm not sure). There will be a blog post about it today.

There are apparently quite a few hidden changes that are not in the update logs.

One that I have seen posted quite a bit is that the spy apparently 'prepares' to stab someone by raising his knife when behind them (even when in cloak).

Another change is that his knife now taunt-kills, supposedly.

Flicking through the posts on the SPUF, I found one person claiming to have the spy fedora, so they might be out.

Taunt kill is obvious from the achievements I posted before.

Preparing to stab would make sense, it would make the animation less insane.
