Nice find, not particularly sure of the legality of it, but it doesn't seem illegal.

I'm pretty sure it might be a ripped (and very basic) version of the Virtual Console...But with some more important titles missing, such as F Zero and some Mario games....

It's actually done using Java. I think they created a Java emulator then load the ROMs directly off their server. I'm guessing it's probably illegal, but seeing as the games are so old now... However, that is defeated by the "you can still buy them" argument... hmm.
