That's right folks, the new and improved forum is here!
Firstly, you may have noticed that we have a new name - Techious. We found the old Compuers and Consoles to be rather generic and boring, so we came up with a new one. I would like to thank Black Flash for helping me come up with that name.
Next, you'll notice that we are running the new BETA version of PHPBB, phpBB3. This has many new and interesting features, such as;
- Advanced User Control Panel, allowing more customisation of the board.
- Cool inbuilt features such as the attachment mod, allowing a much improved way to add attachments to your posts (however, old attachments have been lost).
- Subforums, keeping the index page clean and organised.
- Advanced moderator features such as warnings and bans, to keep the forum in order. Users also have the ability to report posts to be processed by moderators.
- Improved group and permissions systems.
- More posting features, such as global announcements for mods so everyone sees important information, Topic icons for fun and easier poll creation.
- Less ads! There are now only ads at the top and bttom of the page!
- Faster server - the pages should load quicker on this forum!
- And much much more for you to discover...
However, we do have some problems;
- Bugs - this is a BETA product, after all. However, they appear to be minimal.
- No styles other than the default subSilver as of now. We do, however, have some people working on some new styles now. If you wish to make a style, contact me.
- Broken BBCode tags - all the tags on the old forum have become corrupted with an extra string of digits appended onto them, meaning they don't work. If you are a mod, please edit these as you come accross them. If you are a user, edit them in your own posts and report them if they are someone elses. Please do not go through all posts looking for BBCode to report - we do not have time to deal with that, only report those that you come accross while browsing. Moderators ar free to go through editing, however.
- No cash mod - this means no more VDs. However, this isn't a great problem as the VDs had little value on the old forum.
- Some information is missing on the older posts, so they say they have no replies or author, and the most recent post in them was made by a Guest in 1970. This is not a big problem due to it only being the really old posts.

huge thank you to Connected for getting the database accross to phpBB3! It's harder than it sounds, but it has been done.
The pimping forum rules have been modified due to the loss of cash mod. You now have to have 100 posts to access the pimping forum and to do this you go to [url=http://aaronweb.no-ip.com:6969/p/t/phpBB3/ucp.php?i=164]
HERE[/url] and request membership to the "Pimping Allowed" group. Myself or Connected will look over your application and accept you if you have the appropriate number of posts. There are no exceptions, I'm afraid.
