Once you start earning money, you start to find how easy it is to spend money. When you get paid monthly and you think, "Wow, all this money all at once..." you wonder what to spend it on. It's too easy for me to blow it all on 2 of the latest graphics cards, but this time I am holding back. I'm going for cheap parts. Put it this way - I'm going for the cheapest-ish of the best.

The cheapest of the best are always the best middle ground. Awesome performance, good price. Why I've always got the GT/GTS versions of graphics cards and such.

I've bought 2, persoanlly, a 6800GT back when I built this and a 8800GTS 640MB when it died (poorly installed heatsink by myself).

lol, well according to John my graphics card should only live around a year (then again John seems to mess around with a lot of things) - year l8r since buying and so far no probs at all with it, though i do need to upgrade soon...

Yeah he's probably only saying that because of new game releases since a year ago. Could your PC run Crysis for example?

EDIT: to run in mininum spec i would have to upgrade my graphics card to one with 256 B memory and id need to upgrade my RAM to 1GB from 512 MB.

No literally, the graphics card lived for about a year or so then died. It didn't become redundant, it died

Was not overclocked in anyway because I didn't know how to do that.

And Met, your card died because it got clogged with dust and you tortured it with uber high settings on games.

I used Gadwin PrintScreen for my screenshot. I only use it because it came with my work laptop.
